Regional Accountant – Be the wizard for financial planning and transparency

The team

We are a small but growing team of dynamic individuals with substantial experience of living and working in Europe and Asia, working at senior management level for multinational organisations. The role

We are looking for somebody who will relish working in a regional and entrepreneurial environment. The role reports directly to the Executive Director and thus offers ample opportunity for the right candidate to widen the scope of the role and assume more responsibilities as their career progresses with the company. With such opportunity comes the necessity of being able to hit the ground running and ensure continued high levels of performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain general accounting procedures, ensuring all records are filed correctly for audit purposes
  • Prepare & manage payroll, EPF and SOCSO as well as pay invoices, prepare payment vouchers
  • Manage and process expense claims and petty cash
  • Develop and execute financial reporting
  • Support with regional financial planning

 

Key requirements

  • Candidates must possess at least a Professional certificate or Diploma, minimum 3 years work experience in similar role
  • Excellent level of English – must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Must be focused on delivering high quality and accurate work
  • Proficient in MS Office, experience with Quickbooks is a plus
  • Must be self-motivated with positive outlook
  • Able to work independently and to prioritise well in order to excellence in day to day duties
  • Must be willing to work non-standard hours when necessary e.g. client events, tight deadlines

The role

We are looking for somebody who will relish managing a diverse group of accounts – operating on behalf of international clients and working with local distributors and retailers.

The role reports directly to a Senior Consultant and thus offers ample opportunity for the right candidate to widen the scope of the role and assume more responsibilities as their career progresses with the company. With such opportunity comes the necessity of being able to hit the ground running and ensure continued high levels of performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support negotiations/ account management with distributors/ retailers within SEA on clients’ behalf
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing activities on clients’ behalf across the region, incl. agency liaison and management
  • Generate brand support ideas based on other brands’ activities in the region for clients
  • Compile quarterly trend reports for clients e.g. promotions by competing brands
  • Carrying out market research for business development, when required

Key requirements

  • 2-4 years working experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience of working with retailers and/ or distributors is a big plus
  • Must be able to prioritise well in order to excellence in day to day duties, whilst dealing with large amounts of information
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Must be self-motivated with positive outlook
  • Must be focused on delivering high quality work
  • Must be willing to work non-standard hours when necessary e.g. client events, tight deadlines
